Free and Forced Vibrations of Spherical Shells

摘要

The purpose of the investigation is to study the free vibrations of a spherical shell segment with rigidly clamped boundary, and to compute the response of such a shell segment to realistic loading resulting from a blast wave. The study is limited to cases for which the material stays linearly elastic, and strains and rotations remain small. Two methods of analysis are developed for the free vibrations of the spherical shell segments.
