On the Hydromagnetic Stability of a Liquid Layer under the Action of a Magnetic Field and a Gravitational Force

The dissertation is concerned with an analytical study of the stability of an electrically conducting liquid layer subjected to a gravitational field and a magnetic field. The main purpose of the investigation is to determine the effect of a magnetic field on the stability criteria of the layer.
