MODEL TESTS OF SHEK PIK SIPHON SPILLWAY TUNG CHUNG WATER SCHEME

摘要

This report presents the results of the design and development of a siphon spillway for flood control on the Shek Pik reservoir in Hong Kong. The original bellmouth spillway was to be adapted to operate as an air regulated siphon to pass flows up to 14 500 cubic feet per second. The siphon was calibrated for the full range of flow and head, and the pressures on the crest and hood were measured.
