摘要

The plane strain problem of a step load moving with uniform super seismic velocity V>cp on the surface of a half-space is considered for an elastic-plastic material obeying the von Mises yield condition.nUsing dimensional analysis the governing quasi-linear partial differential equations are converted into ordinary nonlinear dif-ferential equations which are solved numerically using a digital computer. To overcome computing difficulties asymptotic solutions are derived in the vicinity of a singular point of the differential equations.nTypical numerical results are presented for selected values of significant non-dimensional parameters, i.e. of the surface load po/k, of Poisson's ratio ν, and of the velocity ratio v/cp.
