The energies that are necessary to remove oxygen from charged nickel oxide electrodes that are in solutions of potassium hydroxide at 25°C have been calculated. The 21 and 2k kilo calories that are necessary to release one mole of oxygen into potassium hydroxide solutions agree with the 21 and 2k kilo calories that are necessary to release it into vicuna.
