The territory of the North German lowland is considered to be a classical region for the study of ancient glaciations. Studied on that territory in the past were the principles of the Stratigraphy dissection of the Quaternary deposits as well as the formation pattern of the ancient glacial relief. As is known, the Stratigraphy scheme of Quaternary deposits for the North German lowlands consists of the following subdivisions (from the. more ancient to the younger ones);prelisted deposits;deposits of the Lester glaciations} deposits of the Holstein interglacial period;deposits of the Saale glaciations;deposits of the war the stage;deposits of the Remain Interglacial periods deposits of the Weichsel glaciations with the In$erstadlals.
