This is the fifth of the reports on the six lectures on Electron Micro scopy held at the "Istituto Superiore di Sanita" in Rome on June 23-28, 1965.nThis report deals with the technique of negative staining as applied to electron microscopy.nVarious investigations on the structure of bacteria, cellular fractions, single molecules and groups of them are described.
