NOMINAL 9,000 BTU/HR, COMPACT, VERTICAL, 230-VOLT, SINGLE-PHASE, 60-CYCLE (MODEL CEIIVAL6-230) AND 208-VOLT, 3-PHASE, 400-CYCLE (MODEL CEIIVAL4-208) AIR CONDITIONING UNITS

This report covers the development and testing of two nominal 9,000 Btu/hr, vertical air conditioning units. The units are floor-mounted, air-cooled, monochlorodifluoromethane refrigerant (R-22) charged, electric-motor-driven, 230-volt, single-phase, 60-c3'cle (Military Model CE11VAL6-230) and 208-volt, 3-phase, 400-cycle (Military Model CE11VAL4-208). Capacity, airflow, and environmental tests are described. The air condi¬tioners are presently undergoing a.4,000-hour endurance test and the results will be available as an addendum to this report. The CE11VAL6-230 and CE11VAL4-208, upon successful completion of the 4,000-hour endurance test, the radio-interference test, and the sound test will be recommended for type classification and quantity procurement.
