FOURTH CONGRESS OF THE GEOGRAPHIC SOCIETY OF THE USSR

摘要

The main purpose of the forthcoming congress, in addition to reviewing the work of the society for four years (since the III congress which was held in January-February 1960 in Kiev) and the reelection of its officers, will be a discussion of important theoretical and methodological problems of Soviet geo graph and its relation to the national economic construction and the development of culture. It will be necessary also to discuss certain organizational problems essential for the ex pension of scientific geographic investigations and the practical utilization of their results, for the dissemination of geographic knowledge and the improvement of geography teaching in the secondary and higher schools of learning.
