摘要

The transmission of light by crystalline polymer films is discussed. For light coherent over the area of an ideal spherulite, the transmittance between crossed polaroids is zero. The intensity measured in the transmission experiment is actually the low-angle light scattering. The equation is presented for the intensity of scattered light integrated out to the maximum angle collected by the detector. Also presented is the correlation function for scattering by a two-dimensional spherulite.
