1.It is now established that approximately half of all rocks have a reverse magnetization. with a direction almost the opposite of that of the present geomagnetic field at the siten2. Using standard procedures [13], we selected oriented samples from two natural outcrops of sedimentary rocks of Lower Devonian age.n3.In magnetic self-reversal of physico-chemical type, the processes that occur are related to features of the mineralogical composition of the rock.n4t As a result of repeated measurements, we were able to calculate the nean values of the natural remanent magnetization vectors, declination (D) and inclination (i) for each sample.n5.
