CONFERENCE ON GEOGRAPHICAL PROBLEMS OF FRUITING OF FOREST TREES, BUSHES AND BERRY PLANTS

Many reports were devoted Co the geography of crop, capacity and periodicity of crops of more important forest trees, to the determination of the causes of periodicity and the elaboration of methods of crop prognosis in its geographical aspect. Tiles trend is successfully developed in the Institute of Geography of the USSR Academy of Sciences by V.I.DOLGOSHOV, in the Laboratory of Sylviculture of the USSR Academy of Sciences by A.A.;!0LC!IANC7, and others. In addition to the theoretical interest these works are of great practical importance, since they contribute to the correct organization of the forest seed business in the country, and they give valuable material for planning the geographical disposition of forest cultivations, especially those whose fruits serve as food products.
