CONFERENCE ON THE UTILIZATION OF THE NATURA L RESOURCES IN THE LEFT-BANK AREA OF THE UKRAINE (EAST OF THE DNIEPER RIVER)

The reports considered by the plenary sessions dealt with the basil problems involved in the development of the national economy in eastern Ukraine — the development of the chemical industry, the heavy industry and the labor resources and their rational utilization. Host of t he reports were made at the numerous sections:the section of the economics of industry and economic geography which were divided into two subsections:the section of the economics and organization of agricultural production, labor resources with subsections of mineral fuel, nonmetallic and metallic bras sections of geology, hydrogeology and engineering geology with subsections of petrography and mineralogy, Stratigraphy and paleon¬tology, hydrogeology and engineering geology sections of physical geography and geomorphology with subsections of physical geography, climatology, geomorphology, geotectonic and pale geography] Soil biology sections with subsections of soil and biology.
