摘要

Using a model with point, block, and mosaic defects, the parameters of the random strain field produced by a distribution of dislocations in a single crystal are determined by their effects on the shapes of rocking curves. The strain field is presented as a mean homogeneous field with random fluctuations about it. With the marginal linear parameters of the point defect distribution the construction of the homogeneous strain tensor is indicated. These parameters are readily observable. The quadratic parameters of this distribution are required for a complete expression of the strain energy. The parameters of the block defect distribution are not required to construct the strain field but their effects on the rocking curves must be determined in order to isolate the point defect parameters. The average particle size may be obtained with some reliability but the variance of particle sizes is difficult to obtain. The mosaic distribution has no effect on the rocking curves and consequently does not enter into the determination of the strain field. It affects only the shapes of the line profiles. (Author)
