The validation measurements described in this report present a comparison of logarithmic amplifier characteristics versus normal amplifier characteristics. Three comparison tests are described, each test having been performed under controlled conditions. The three tests are: 1) minimum detectable signal, 2) false alarm time, 3) dynamic range. (Author)
