Preliminary Study of Pure Shear Fracture Model

摘要

A specimen configuration that is expected to yield a near pure shear state of strain (in its critical section throughout the deformation range up to fracture) was designed. Qualitative results are presented. Preliminary indications are that the specimen satisfactorily meets the requirements.
