Determination of Constants of a Special Magnetograph Run at Godhavn Geophysical Observatory for Dr. E. J. Chernosky, AFCRL

This report concerns the determination of formula and baseline values for the period January 1, 1960 to December 31, 1963 for the H-magnetograph run at Godhavn Geophysical Observatory for Dr. E. J. Chernosky on a contract with AFCRL. Besides bringing the formula and constants necessary for a further study of the magnetograms the report shows the existence of a regular yearly variation of the baseline values nearly in phase with the variation of the air temperature at Godhavn. Since the magnetograph is kept at a constant temperature in a well insulated shelter it is assumed that the dependence on the variation of the outdoor temperature is an indirect one, probably a dependence on the variation of the humidity in the shelter.
