Thus the knowledge of the primary factors that determine the friction of polymers is necessary both to solve questions connected with their introduction as a bearing material and to improve the antifriction properties of such materials.nThe object of the present work is to investigate the friction of polyamides on steel as it relates to the operating conditions of bearing materials, and to find the basic factors on which the value of their friction depends.
