Reactions of Chlorine Dioxide and Other Oxy-chloro Compounds with Organic Compounds

The chlorination of water containing phenols may render it unpalatable. Chlorinated phenols in water have been rendered innocuous by the addition of chlorine dioxide. The reaction between phenol or chlorinated phenols and chlorine dioxide was the objective of this research.
