EFFECT OF FERROCENYL SUBSTITUTE ON THE FUNCTIONS GROUP IN THE BENZENE RING

In this report, we shall discuss the dissociation constants Kb and Ka for the previously obtained p-ferrocenylaniline, m-ferrocenylaniline, ferro-cenylaraine and p-ferrocenylphenol. The measurements were carried out in an 80% ethyl alcohol because, in more diluted alcohol, the solubility of the compounds investigated is low. The data obtained are given in Table 1.nFor the purpose of comparison, the table contains dissociation, con¬stants for phenol, aniline, p-aminodiphenyl and p-hydroxydiphenly which were also measured in an 80% alcohol.
