FIRST QUARTERLY PROGRESS REPORT PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE FOR A GERMANIUM PNP POUTER TRANSISTOR

This report covers the work performed during the period 14 April to 14 July 1965. It briefly describes the electrical re¬quirements that the germanium power transistor must meet to operate effectively in the desired application. A brief discussion of the important electrical parameters and how they can be optimized is given. The fabrication process for this germanium transistor is also presented. Engineering investigations designed to improve the reliability, the yields, and parameter distributions of this device are discussed and their results reported.
