APPROXIMATE METHODS FOR RIGID-PLASTIC STRUCTURES SUBJECTED TO DYNAMIC LOADING

Extension of earlier results obtained by Martin [4] and Martin and Symonds [5] for impulsively loaded rigid-plastic bodies are considered. The extensions lead to bounds and approximate methods for bodies subjected to an initial impulse and time-dependent loads Illustrative examples are given.
