METHOD OF STABILIZING SILICONE OILS

The results of the determination of the thermal - oxidation stability of polymethylsiloxane oils with an additive shoed their high effectiveness as compared with the additive phenyl-ot-naphthylamine commonly known and used. The compound CTM added in the amount of 0.5% is about four times as effective and inhibits the polymethylsiloxane oils at 300°C as compared with the ordinarily used phenyl-a-naphthylamine.
