摘要

Study of the neural mechanisms of the special acoustic orientation faculty (echolocation) seen in "bats forms part of a complex of straight bionic * problems. It includes, as a first-rank problem, research on the structure and functioning of the auditory "analyser" that perceives and transfers specific information in the form of echo signals. Along with, the auditory analyser's high level of functional activity in bats, morphologi¬cally there is an extremely primitive character of the cortex and an unusual development of the subcortical auditory centers [1-5].
