ELECTRONIC TIME-FUZE POWER SUPPLIES FOR ARTILLERY SHELLS,

摘要

A study was made of the electrochemical systems suitable for providing power to artillery-shell time fuzes. The evaluation was based upon the energy density,operability over the required military temperature range,and storability. The major problems to be solved include operation over the temperature range of -65to + 165F, a shelf life of at least 10yr,fast activation,and small size. A program is recommended that should lead to the successful development of one or more power-supply designs for this application. (Author)
