SOLID PROPELLANTS FOR SUPERSONIC COMBUSTION APPLICATIONS

摘要

Increasing interest is being shown in hypersonic applications using supersonic propulsion systems. Little study has been directed towards the use of solid propellants as the fuel for this application. This paper dis¬cusses the features of solid propellants as applied to supersonic combustion applications. This paper indicates that solids are attractive for super¬sonic combustion and further studies should be conducted in this area.
