摘要

A description is given of the subprogram DETEC which for energies below 5 MeV simulates the detection process of a fast-neutron within a large cylindrical plastic scintillator. DETEC has been coded in FORTRAN IV, and consists of a subroutine and a BLOCK-DATA subprogram. The latter is in its present form adapted to the dimensions 5 cm Ø x 8 cm of the scintillating materials NE102 and NE102A.
