INVESTIGATION OF EMBEDMENT ANCHORS FOR DEER OCEAN USE

摘要

Two commercial types of explosive embedment anchors were tested to investigate their potential for application in deep ocean anchorage systems. Tests were conducted in sand and mud buttom conditions in shallow water and in depths to 6,000 feet. Components of the anchors were subjected to pressures as great as 10,000 psi in the Deep Ocean Simulation Laboratory. (Author)
