TRANSVERSE ANTENNA FEED STUDY

摘要

The purpose of this program has been to conduct a theoretical and experimental investigation of the transverse focal region field distributions of a Cassegrain antenna with the objective of regulating the radiation characteristics by control of the phase and amplitude of small transversely distributed sourced in the focal region. A major aim of this investigation was to produce results which are applicable, in general, to high-gam - high-resolution focusing antennas. Included was the construction and testing of a Cassegrain antenna capable of controlling several of the radiation characteristics. The data thus gathered was used to formulate the re¬quirements of practical networks for efficient control.
