Equipment designed to study the effect of polymer additives on fluid flow is described. The objective of the equipment is the following:n1．Visual observation of the boundary layer using stereoscopic tech¬niques.n2.Measurement, by means of a hydrophone, of the change in pressure fluctuations due to the additives.n3.Determination of the accuracy of pitot tube measurements in visoelastic fluids.n4.Determination of the material constants used in the constitutive equation studied.
