Sensitivity and Spectral Response Properties of Human Vision at Low Luminances

The sensitivity of human vision is considered in relation to level of adaptation, luminance and spectral distribution of available light and the visual tasks to be performed. The relevance of these considerations to aided and unaided vision at low luminances is discussed. (Author)
