A Study of Wave Particle Interactions in the Magnetosphere and a Complementary Study of the Propagation Characteristics of Whistlers and Related Phenomena

Three principal areas of investigation are reviewed: (1) Propagation and detection studies at vlf; (2) basic studies of the thermal plasma in the magnetosphere; (3) wave particle interactions. In most cases only a brief description is given, particularly where details are available in reports and publications listed in the attached bibliography. In addition to the bibliography, there is included a list of papers presented at technical meetings and symposiums.
