Methods of Obtaining Estimates of Computer Programming Costs: A Taxonomy

This paper presents a classification of the various methods that may be used by a manager to arrive at estimates of required resources for a proposed computer programming project. Advantages, disadvantages, and potential directions for research are also cited for each method. (Author)
