摘要

This report summarizes work performed during the first year of the subject contract, "Applications of Modern Developments on Scattering Theory to Atomic Collision Problems". The main effort has been to apply the Faddeey-Lovelace formulation of three-body collision problems to the specific problem of e-H scattering. The Faddeey-Lovelace procedures for e-H scattering are described, but numerical results are not obtained, because the integrals which appear are difficult. These integrals involve the complex momenta of the interacting particles, and are derived making use of the known exact analytic dependence (on the complex momenta of the interacting particles) of the two-body Coulomb scattering amplitude, given previously in two technical reports by LeVere Hostler issued in this contract. An appendix to the present report contains a brief publication on formal scattering theory, "Extensions of the Momentum Transfer Theorem", not previously issued as a technical report.
