A Survey of Analytical Techniques for Determining the Static and Dynamic Strength of Pressure-Hull Shell Structures

A survey is made of the analytical and empirical procedures presently in use and proposed for the determination of the static and dynamic strengths of pressure-hull shell structures. The credibility and range of validity of these procedures are established, wherever possible. Problem areas requiring additional R and D effort are identified. (Author)
