Propagation of Harmonic Waves in Composite Circular Cylindrical Shells. Part I. Theoretical Investigation

In this investigation, the propagation of harmonic waves of an arbitrary number of circumferential nodes travelling in composite, traction-free, circular cylindrical shells, is studied on the basis of the linear, three-dimensional theory of elasticity. The composite shells consist of a circular inner layer composed of one material, bounded by and bonded to a circular outer casing made of another material. (Author)
