ON THE FLEXIBLE-FLAP DAMPER FOR AIR-CUSHION VEHICLES.

摘要

An approximate analysis of the general dynamic characteristics of a two-dimensional air-cushion craft with hinged flexible flaps,employing lumped-parameter assumptions,is made. The free oscillation system is,in general,stable. With the proper selection of inertia stiffness,flap damping,and geometrical configuration,the flexible flap may effectively be used as a forced motion damper. (Author)
