Analysis and Comparison of Feedback Communications Systems

摘要

The report summarizes the results of research into problems of feedback communications systems and related problems. Some practical considerations and the sort of conclusions they lead to in the design of such systems are discussed. These affect the choices of basic feedback strategy and procedure, the type of encoding, and specific code parameters. Intersymbol interference, of interest in certain types of feedback systems, is briefly analysed. Problems of synchronization and framing, and of interchannel correlation of fading in a system with a noisy feedback channel, were discussed in earlier scientific reports which are considered as appended hereto.
