Adaptive Control of Unknown Time Variable Systems

摘要

The problem of controller design for unidentified time variable systems is considered. The adaptive solution obtained does not identify the unknown plant; rather a low order linear model is determined whose behavior is 'near' that of the plant. The model characteristics are assumed sufficiently similar to those of the plant so that controller synthesis based on information gained from the model will be adequate for plant control. The model must be rapidly determined since the plant is time variable; time intervals in which the model is not an accurate approximation of the plant represent periods of inferior control. The adaptive rate at which the model is determined is considered and a scheme which will provide rapid adaptation is determined. (Author)
