Calculation of Joints Incorporating Tangential Keys (Vypocet Spojeni Tangencialnimi Kliny).

摘要

The article deals with the calculation of joints between machine parts employing tangential keys as coupling elements, mainly on large shafts transmitting high torque and exposed to impact loads. The results of theoretical anlysis are supplemented by experimental research covering the deformation of shafts, hubs and keys. Formulas are derived to evaluate the effect of outer torque and to determine the optimum lateral clearance in the key joint. (Author)
