摘要

Micropillar based fluidic chip is an attractive platform for cell isolation, capture and detection. This paper is focused on the design of micropillar array. Its flow situation is simulated by using finite element analysis method. The relationships between the geometry and arrangement of micropillars in the array and the distribution of fluid velocity, shear stress, dynamic pressure which have to be accorded to the cell migration and capture are studied. An optimized water drop shape is obtained for micropillar design. In addition, a silicon micropillar array is proposed to be fabricated with surface functionalization for actin capture.
