Trial of Marconi AD 370 Radio Compass in Wessex Xs 679

摘要

Following trials of the Marconi Radio Compass AD 370 in comet XS 235, a trial was conducted to evaluate the performance of the system in a helicopter environment. Air calibrating swings were used to evaluate the basic accuracy which was found to be within specification limits. In addition the performance was observed during a tactical sortie involving a large number of manoeuvres, and the range performance was checked. In all aspects the performance was satisfactory.
