Anticorrosion Sealing Caps for Mechanical Fasteners

The report discusses the development and testing of a device that prevents or at least inhibits corrosion in fastened metal joints, and presents test results. The device consists of a cup-shaped receptacle, partially filled with a sealant, and is dimensioned to fit over bolt or screw heads. When applied over these fasteners, the device excludes moisture and effectively retards corrosion. (Author)
