摘要

The purpose of this report is to evaluate the role of capillaries and small blood vessels in traumatic and endotoxin shocks and to bring forth the basic elements of cardiovascular upset. The capillaries and small blood vessels appear to be the most sensitive organs in shock. The early histologic changes consisting of vesiculation and metabolic disturbances take place before any severe vascular damage is encountered. The intracapillary fibrin formation and thrombi ensue for onset of irreversible shock. This evaluation helps to facilitate the earliest therapeutic measures in shock. (Author)
