Comparison of Two Methods for the Combination of Satellite and Gravimetric Data

One method for the combination of satellite and gravimetric data consists of a comparison of a potential coefficient found by satellite analysis with the coefficient found by the usual summation process applied to a global estimate of a terrestrial anomaly field. A second method compares an anomaly computed from a set of potential coefficients found from satellite analysis with the observed terrestrial estimate. The specific equations for the adjustment procedure are derived and compared. (Author)
