CAPABILITIES AND APPLICATIONS OF A THIRTY-BAND DATA ANALYSIS SYSTEM.

The signal processing system described is capable of simultaneously processing a signal through 30contiguous band-pass filters to determine by means of a selectable computing period (1) the maximum peak value or energy of an impulse type of signal or (2) a measure of the energy or intensity of a continuous wave type of signal. The system has a frequency range of 0to 50,000Hz and an input dynamic range of 60db and generates an output in absolute values or engineering units. Its output is in a medium and format compatible with other data processing systems,such as digital computers, X-Y plotters,and optical display devices. (Author)
