摘要

A calibration of two types of quartz-coated hot-film sensing elements in a towing tank is described. The calibration is done using hot-film anemometry and linearization of voltage signals. The hot-film sensors proved to be well-suited for flow measurements in water. They are rugged,sensitive,and reliable;and are preferred over the common hot-wire probe or pitot tube. Operation of the hot-film anemometer and linearizer for probe calibration is described. Techniques of hot-film anemometry are shown to be applicable to quantitative turbulence measurements in water. Use of a data acquisition system for this purpose is described. (Author)
