Machine Plotting on Mercator-Projection Maps with Cdc-1604 Computer and Calcomp-165 Plotter

A method is devised for automatic plotting of geographic data with CDC-1604 computer and CALCOMP-165 plotter. The shared-time FORTRAN program and example plots are presented in this report. Potential applications of automatic plotting of the type discussed exist in oceanography, geophysics, geography, and navigation. Application in the treatment of the results of climatological, chemical, and biological surveys and in tactical sonar and radar CRT displays is also suggested. (Author)
