摘要

The report is a motion analysis of a tri-moored buoyant structure known as Seaspider designed and tested by Savage and Hersey - 1965. The structure consists of a sub-surface buoy approximately 100 feet below the surface and anchored by three neutrally buoyant legs as shown in Fig. 1. The anchors are placed at the apexes of an equilateral triangle and the legs are of such a length as to form an angle of 45 degrees with the plane of the bottom. The legs are made neutrally buoyant by attaching glass balls along their length. This analysis was done during the summer of 1967 at the University of New Hampshire. The equations were developed and then programmed for running on the IBM 360 computer. This program appears as Appendix 1. (Author)
