摘要

Analytical and experimental studies were conducted to determine an optimum turbine-driven circulating blower powered by energy available from high-pressure breathing oxygen. The studies included experimental determination of optimum turbine and nozzle geometries and the development of a complete circulating blower. With an available oxygen flow of 0.2pound per hour,the blower can circulate 3.93 cfm at a back pressure of 0.2inch of water in an ambient temperature, 5-psia atmosphere. Total weight of the unit was 3ounces. The experimental unit operated reliably;however,additional testing is necessary to establish its suitability for use in a manned space enclosure. (Author)
